What are the best times to post on Instagram in 2018?

As many of you know, timing on social media is almost everything. If you post at the right times, you’ll get the most “Likes”, “Shares” or even “Follows”. If you’re stuck on what times are the best times to post on Instagram, then this post is for you. Let’s get started.

What Days?

When to post on Instagram really depends on the day. For example, on a weekday, posting during work hours may get you fewer likes than if you were to post on weekends. Or posting after work hours may get you more likes than if you were to post during work hours. Why? People are working during work hours and not on their phones liking, following, or sharing photos and pictures.

Special Occasions/Events

You also have to think about date. If it’s Christmas or Thanksgiving, many people won’t be on social media or even on their phones – they’ll be spending time with their families. This also includes if there’s an event or something. For example, if there’s a state marathon or fair, there probably won’t be as many people on Instagram as there would be another regular day.

Time Zones

You have to take into consideration the time zones. What is your audience? Who is your audience? Where is your audience? Do they live on the West Coast, the East Coast, the Midwest, or even another country? If you live on the west coast and your audience is on the east coast, posting on Instagram at 8pm PST will get you little to no engagements or interactions with your picture because it will be 11 EST. If half of your audience lives on the West Coast and half of your audience lives on the East Coast, then you want to find a time that is right in the middle or that would suit both locations. This is pretty easy if the majority or all of your audience is in the same time zone as you.
